About This MovieMore

Who you gonna call?

When better to hoist up the ol’ proton pack than Halloween? Ivan Reitman’s thoroughly 80’s comedy is lighting up the big screen on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 7PM!

We’ll have a costume contest with prizes, so dress as your favorite character! Also, bring a carved jack-o-lantern. We’ll light it and put it on state during the show (you can take it home at the end of the night, too). Plus we’ll give you a treat for your trouble.

The show is open to all ages, and we’ll have beer & wine service for of-age Gatekeepers and Keymasters.

Three odd-ball scientists get kicked out of their cushy positions at a university in New York City where they studied the occult. They decide to set up shop in an old firehouse and become Ghostbusters, trapping pesky ghosts, spirits, haunts, and poltergeists for money. They wise-crack their way through the city, and stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, one which will release untold evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters are called on to save the Big Apple. – from IMDB

**”Hey wait, isn’t Ghostbusters up for the November vote right now?” – Well, look who’s paying attention! Yes, it is (or was). A few things came into play on this one. 1) It was clobbering the November vote, so it was going to go up anyway; 2) We had an open night in the Halloween schedule, and Ghostbusters was next on the Halloween request list; 3) Ghostbusters makes WAY better sense in October than November. So, taken altogether, we’ll put it up now, and we’ll show another title in November.
