“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!”
That’s also the best way to stay warm watching movies under the stars at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival!
Buddy is back to kick off the holidays! Waddle your Thanksgiving-stuffed self out to the woods to see Buddy the Elf save Christmas on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 6PM.
What better way to watch for Santa’s sleigh than to watch Christmas movies under the stars! We may even get some snow falling on us, who knows!
So bundle up! Break out the ski gear a little early and layer it on. Honestly, I’m going to bring a sleeping bag.
Also, we won’t have concessions, so bring your refreshments with you (you know, Shakespeare Festival style).
We WILL have concessions! Our good friends at Smoke & Thyme are bringing hot soups, hot chocolate, hot cider, and smoked “pig wings.” You can still bring your own food, though.
Chairs are provided in all sections except the hillside. If you’re going to sit on the grass, bring a blanket or a lawn chair (preferably low-rise).
We’ll have an ugly sweater contest with prizes, so don your worst!
Buddy was a baby in an orphanage who stowed away in Santa’s sack and ended up at the North Pole. Later, as an adult human who happened to be raised by elves, Santa allows him to go to New York City to find his birth father, Walter Hobbs. Hobbs, on Santa’s naughty list for being a heartless jerk, had no idea that Buddy was even born. Buddy, meanwhile, experiences the delights of New York City (and human culture) as only an elf can. When Walter’s relationship with Buddy interferes with his job, he is forced to reevaluate his priorities. –from IMDB
