What is different about a BCM screening versus going to a regular movie?
At BCM movies, people routinely cheer the heroes, boo the villains, dress up like characters, sing the songs, laugh before the joke is told–you don’t get that without a good crowd of people who really love the movie. Since the crowd chooses the movie, BCM always gets that that kind of camaraderie.
At BCM screenings, people are part of a community of movie lovers – it’s the community that votes and buys the tickets to tip the movie so it will show. It’s a shared viewing experience. Going to a first-run theater to see the latest release is an isolated experience.
